A rock star has issued a desperate plea for help tracing his 15-year-old niece, who has been missing since Saturday.
Clint Boon, of the Inspiral Carpets, said teenager Carys Houghton has not been since since 7.45pm last night.
The keyboard player and vocalist urged anyone with information to contact police.
He posted on Twitter that Carys was last seen in the Wirral area in Merseyside, wearing a purple top, black leggings and black trainers.
The music legend posted a picture of his niece which was taken last night.
He said she was last seen in Liscard close to McDonalds.
Boon wrote: “My niece Carys Houghton is missing in the Wirral area. 15 y/o 5’6”.
“Long dark hair, purple top, black leggings, black trainers. Pic below is what she was wearing last night.
“Last seen in Liscard near McDonald’s 7.45pm. Please contact the police on 101 crime no 10/29 Please RT xxx”
One fan responded: “Omg Clint, I hope she is found safe and sound. Sending hope and love to you all xx”
It is understood that Carys had got on a bus last night, but did not make it home.
An anxious friend posted on Facebook: “Has anyone seen this girl tonight please (black hair). Her name is Carys Houghton from Prenton.
“She is 15 years old. She got on the 423 bus from moreton around 7pm and not been seen since. Please let me know if you no of any information please.”
The Mirror has contacted Merseyside Police for comment.
Boon, 62, released five albums with the band between 1990 and 2014, and two with the Clint Boon Experience.
